Visa Information

Below is the VISA checklist of documents required to apply for a conference VISA.

 

  1. Original Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months from date of return and having at least 3
    blank pages.
  2. Passports sized colored photographs conforming to as per photo specifications.
  3. Application (online / Off line) form submitted to the correct Indian Mission abroad.
  4. Return airline reservation with detailed itinerary.
  5. Certified copy of the passport.
  6. Residential Proof from the country where VISA application submitted.
  7. 3 months bank statement of applicant (Depending on the Indian Embassy where application is
    submitted).
  8. Original Proof of VISA fee payment.
  9. Guarantee letter from the organization where the applicant is employed or a motivational
    letter if applicant is travelling in own personal capacity.
    Conference documents required from the organizers:
    *** Participants contact the organizers at icbs2019@csiriict.in for the following documents
  10. An invitation letter from a registered Indian organization stating the conference details, dates,
    location and duration.
  11. Copies of the political clearance received by the organizers from the Ministry of External
    Affairs (MEA, New Delhi). – Contact organizers @ icbs2019@csiriict.in or down load from

  12. Copies of the clearance received by the organizers from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA,
    New Delhi) in case of applicants from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, foreigners of Pakistani
    origin and Stateless persons and if participants of conferences are visiting 'Restricted' or
    'Protected' areas in India, or areas affected by terrorism, militancy and extremism etc.
    1. Protected Areas: Whole of Arunachal Pradesh, Parts of Himachal Pradesh, Parts of Jammu &
      Kashmir, Whole of Manipur, Whole of Mizoram, Whole of Nagaland, Parts of Rajasthan, Whole
      of Sikkim (partly in Protected Area and partly in Restricted Area), Parts of Uttarakhand
    2. Under the Foreigners (Restricted Areas) Order, 1963, the following areas have been
      declared as `Restricted’ Areas:

      1. Andaman & Nicobar Islands - Entire Union Territory
      2. Sikkim - Part of the State as mentioned in para 28.5.2.
