New ICBS membership drive: To connect, to serve, and to lead!

 

To promote chemical biology and better serve our members with high impact initiatives and expanded student/scholar chapters around the world, ICBS is launching a new multi-tiered membership structure. JOIN ICBS NOW to stay connected with the global chemical biology community, to contribute to activities that shape the direction of the field, to serve and support our members, and to lead ICBS initiatives into the future!

 

Recent activities

During the past several years, ICBS has made major efforts to explore and implement programs to enhance member experience and support career development, in addition to its signature annual conference and its Rising Stars program for the global chemical biology community. Example initiatives include:

  • The launch of the ICBS Pharma/Life Science Advisory Team to offer unique programs to link academia and industry activities and to provide advice to students and postdocs seeking careers in chemical biology
  • Rapidly increasing number of ICBS Students/Postdoc Chapters from Europe, Asia, to North America
  • Expanded service and leadership opportunities with the Executive Council-focused committee structure
  • The launch of the regional ICBS symposium
  • A sponsored trainee-organized and led pre-conference day to stimulate scientific discussion among graduate students and post-docs
  • The official partnership with other international organizations, including the European Union OPEN-SCREEN/European Chemical Biology symposium, European Federation of Medicinal Chemistry, Future Medicinal Chemistry journal, and regional chemical biology organizations

 

ICBS expanded membership benefits include

  • Reduced registration for ICBS annual conferences and regional symposia and special member fees for conference accommodations
  • Eligibility to participate in ICBS recognition programs and awards, such as the ICBS Young Chemical Biologist award, the ICBS Global Lectureship, ICBS poster and travel awards, and other future awards.
  • Leadership opportunities in a range of committees and other leadership bodies to serve our community, drive collaborations and further the careers of our trainees
  • Access “Member only” resources and services for professional development

 

ICBS membership fee categories:

 

Regular member:        $100 USD

Post-docs members:   $50 USD (within 5 years of PhD conferral)

Graduate and undergraduate students and retired members: free
