Meet ICBS Board of Directors: Dr. Masatoshi Hagiwara

Dr. Masatoshi Hagiwara, President of ICBS 2013-2014

Dr. Hagiwara is a founding ICBS BOD member and one of the founders of the Japanese Society of Chemical Biology (JSCB). He is a highly accomplished biomedical innovator and an academic leader in chemical biology with a focus on interrogating splicing code of pre-mRNA for therapeutic discovery. Dr. Hagiwara has led the rapid development of JSCB and its close interactions with the ICBS. As a founding leader of ICBS, Dr. Hagiwara has tirelessly promoted the growth and global impact of ICBS. He served as president of ICBS for the term of 2013-2014 and successfully organized the 2^nd Official Conference of the International Chemical Biology Society in Kyoto.
