The 6th Official Conference of the

International Chemical Biology Society

October 17 -20, 2017

Shanghai, China

ICBS is a global organization dedicated to promoting research and education at the interface of chemistry and biology. After exciting annual meetings in Boston (USA), Kyoto (Japan), San Francisco (USA), Berlin (Germany), and Madison (WI, USA), we welcome you to Shanghai, China, to share new discoveries and insights to address emerging global challenges, to foster collaborations across disciplines and across the globe, to discuss ways to enhance the impact of chemical biology, and to help promote the career development of students and young chemical biologists.

Major topics:

  • Determine molecular mechanisms of an active compound
  • Address drug resistance challenges: from microbial to cancer therapeutics
  • Interrogate diseases with chemical biology, including cancer, neurodegeneration, and neglected diseases
  • Chemical innovations to address “undruggable” target space , such as PROTACs
  • Expand the chemical space (e.g. DNA-encoded libraries, C-H functionalization)
  • New chemical modalities(e.g. small molecule-peptide hybrids, macrocycles, fragment-based, supramolecular entities)
  • Organism and phenotypic investigation with chemical probes
  • In silico screening and design of molecules for unique pockets
  • Emerging technologies in chemical biology
  • Molecular biosensors and actuators
  • Chemical biology of epigenetics, nucleic acids, glycobiology and Ubiquitin signaling
  • Bioprocess in chemical biology
  • Chemical biology and pharmaceutical industry
  • Global chemical biology landscape- updates on new initiatives

Podium presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts for each session.
